The ideal base is set buttercream or ganache, or a surface sealed with piping gel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBases such as whipped cream release a lot of moisture and make the cake image dissolve.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo we recommend not putting the cake image on the cake and then into the fridge, but always placing it shortly before serving, to avoid long contact with moisture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you are not using the cake image straight away, just keep it in its film at room temperature, not in the fridge.
